~Lincolnshire Pedigrees, Vol. III, Rye Pedigree, p. 839, Sir Nicholas de Rye, Knight, son and heir, age 17 at the time of his father's death; was seised of the manor of Beaurepaire, and presented to the Rectory of Gosberton in 1272; sued unsuccessfully for this property in 1286 by Sir John de Rye, sheriff of Lincoln; settle Beaurepaire on his heirs, and granted it to sir William Cressy, Knight, as feoffee.
