• Dates & Events, 18 Aug 1598. 274,252 Alonso was a member of the 1598 Oñate settlement. He is also consider one of the loyalists who remained in New México.
In 1632, he was age 50 and living as a captain in Santa Fé. His wife, María, had allegedly been poisoned by María Bernal with whom Alonso was having relations.
A daughter, María de los Ángeles, age twenty -two at the time was the widow of Gaspar de Arratia. A son, Diego, was married to Ysabel de Cabinillas.
In 1634, Alonso's granddaughter, Ynez de Zamora, child of Alférez Diego de Montoya and Ana Martín, married Sargento Juan López. Alonso was fifty -three at the time, and his wife at the time, Francisca de Herrera Abrego, were the wedding sponsors. Francisca escaped the Pueblo Revolt of 1680 with eight children and grandchildren, all very poor.
Other children of Alonso were Alonso II, Ana and an other daughter was married to either Francisco Salazar of Montoya. ~The Origins of New México Families, pg. 71

Alonso himself, fifty-three at the time, and his second wife, Francisca de Herrera de Abrega, were Padrinos. This Francisca de Herrera Abrego escaped the Pueblo Revolt with eight children and grandchildren, all very poor.
