José Silva is mentioned in 1727 as the brother-in-law of Antonio Vallejo, husband of Micaela Silva. His wife, Rosa Baca, died in this same year on June 9. He was mentioned again years later as a brother of Gertrudis Silva, and as the father (grandfather?) of a María Jaramillo who married Marcos Baca. A son of his, José Manuel, widowed of Febronia Baca, married María Leonarda Salazar at Belén in 1781.
