José de Aragón was a native of New México and a resident of El Paso. He married Juliana Gamboa in El Paso on 26 Feb 1996. He was twenty-two and his parents were Antonio Luján and Ana de Aragón, both deceased natives of New México. José's mother was very likely the woman who had married Francisco Campusano during the 1680 exile at El Paso. José and his mother could likely be part of the López Aragón family that was in New México prior to the Pueblo Revolt of 1680.
