Robert de Thweng, eldest son and heir, performed service in Wales for the bishop of Durham in 1282. He married, sometime before Dec 1265, Alice (who was only age 8 at the time) the youngest daughter and coheir of Roger de Merlay, of Morpeth, Northumberland. She died shortly before 2 Feb 1267/8, and he must have remarried because his daughter, Lucy, was born 24 Mar 1278/9. He died before 1284.
