Quoting from Stuart's "Royalty For Commoners" (286:38) : "Ramon I, Count of Pallars & Ribargorza; liv. 916; md. Guinigenta Asnarez (mother of [BERNARD I]); dau of ASNAR DATO; md. (2) a dau of Mutarrif-ibn-Lope, of the Banu Qasi family.
NOTE: In 1969, Charles J. Jacobs, in "A Suggested Moselem Descent From Eleanor of Provence and Eleanor of Castile" in Augustan, XII:217-222 (Jul-Aug 1969) makes a good case for BERNARD I having as his mother, his father's only wife a dau of Mutarrif-ibn-Lope, of Qasi family, and he makes Guinigenta BERNARD's sister-in-law. If these findings are sustained, this opens up a five-generation Moselem descent."
