"Baderon de Monemue" donated property in Monmouth to Monmouth Priory, with the consent of "filiorum meorum Gileberti et Jacobi", by undated charter witnessed by "…Waltero Marmiun…" [Dugdale Monasticon IV, Monmouth Priory, II, p. 596]. Robert Bishop of Hereford confirmed the donations to Monmouth priory made by "Guienocus dominus de MonemudaWillelmuseiusdem Guienoci neposBadero hujus Willelmi filius et Rohesia eius uxor…Pagani filii BaderonisRicardus de Cormeliis" by charter dated 1144 [Monmouth, XVIII, p. 27]. Baderon of Monmouth married Rohese de Clare, daughter of Gilbert Fitz Richard Lord of Clare and Tonbridge and his wife Adelisa de Clermont. Guillaume de Jumièges names "Richardum qui ei successit et Gislebertum et Walterium et unam filiam...Rohais" as the children of "Gislebertus ex filia comitis de Claromonte" [Dugdale Monasticon II, Thorney Monastery, Cambridgeshire, X, p. 601].


Baderon married Rohese de Clare, daughter of Sir Gilbert Fitz Richard de Clare and Tonbridge and Adélaide de Clermont. (Rohese de Clare was born about 1105 and died before 1166.)
