John de Swynnerton

~The Parshall Family, A.D. 870-1913, pp. 57, says he had three wifes, Argena de Knighton, Eleanor Peshale, the heiress of the earlier Peshale family, by who he had Richard de Peshale, Robert, Stephen and John, and thirdly Margery, the Swynnerton heiress. ⁷³²

John de Swynnerton, brother and heir to Roger de Swynnerton, so and heir of John and Margery de Swynnerton, was engaged in litigation in 1267/68 over land apparently inherited from his brother and his wife. He married Muriel and he died in or before 1284 when his widow sued for her dower.
