Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands, Judith de Nantes was the daughter of Judicaël comté de Nantes and his wife Melisende. Judith married Alain comté de Cornouaïlle.

"The Chronicon Briocensi names "Judith…filia Juhelli quondam comitis Nannetensis" as wife of "Alani Cagnart" and mother of "Hoellus Dux" [Ex Chronico Briocensi, RHGF, Tome XII, p. 565]. An undated charter dated to (1031/55) records a donation to Sainte-Croix de Quimperlé by "Alano principe…uxor eiusdem consulis, religiosa domina et mater nostra Judith comitissa, filia…Judicaelis Nannetensium comitis", in the presence of "domini sui" [Quimperlé Sainte-Trinité, IX, p. 147]. The Chronicon Kemperlegiense records the death in 1063 of "Iudith Comitissa Cornugalliæ" [Chronicon Kemperlegiense, Stephani Baluzii Miscellaneorum, Liber I, Collectio Veterum, p. 521]."


Judith married Alain "Caignart" Comte Cornoüaille, son of Benedict de Cornoüaille and Guinodeon. (Alain "Caignart" Comte Cornoüaille was born about 975 in Cornoüaille, Bretagne, France, died on 4 Jun 1058 and was buried in Nortre-Dame.)
