Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands Guigues comte d'Albon was the son of Guigues Dauphin de Viennois and his wife Clémence de Mâcon. He married, as his first wife, Beatrice di Monferrato, daughter of Guglielmo V Machese de Monferrat and his wife Judith of Austria.

Guigues V d'Albon son of Guigues IV d'Albon, dit Dauphin, and Marguerite (Clémence) de Mâcon. Guigues V died without male heir in 1162 in Vizille. He married in 1155 Beatrice de Montferrat, possible daughter of William V, Marquis of Montferrat and Judith of Babenberg. At his death, he left an infant girl named Beatrix d'Albon, who became Dauphine Viennese.
