Ellen Radcliffe

  General Notes:

The History of the County Palatine and Duchy of Lancaster, Vol. 2, p. 423, "Pedigree of Radclyffe or Radcliffe, of Radcliffe Tower," has Elena, daughter of Richard de Radclyffe, High Sheriff of Lancashire and his wife Isabella, daughter and heir of Pleasington, and sister to William Radclyffe, marring, as her third husband, Robert Urswick.

I believe that Elena married the older Robert Urswick. All the records of Robert Urswick seem to confuse father with his son Sir Robert Urswick. Elena may be married to either father or son. The same is true with Margaret Southworth, but I've found more references for Sir Robert, son of Robert, being married to Margaret Southworth.

Ellen married Robert de Urswick, son of Adam de Urswick and Sarah Tatham, in 1373 in England ^746,1530a.^,1591 (Robert de Urswick died in England.)
