Everard de Ros was the son and heir of Robert de Ros. He was still a minor in 1166. He adhered to the King in the rebellion of 1173. He married Roese, first sister and coheir, Robert Trussebut, and daughter of William, Trussebut, lor of Wrter, Yorkshire, and his wife, Aubreye de Harcourt. Everard died in 1183, before Michalmas. He widow was said to be aged thirty-four in 1185, and to have two sons, the elder aged 13 at the time of Everard's death.

Everand de Ros paid, 1176, a fine to the King for his lands, and again in 1180, tho have possession of those, which the Earl of Albemerle then held. He married roysia, daughter of William Trusbut, of Wartre in Holderness, and after the death of her brothers, Richard, Geoffrey and Robert Trusbut, coheir with her sisters Hilaria and Agatha, to their father's estate. They also were heirs of their mother Albreda de Harcourt, daughter of Roysia, one of the daughters of Pain Peverell, standard-bearer to robert Curthose, the Conqueror's eldest son, in the Holy Land. Her sisters died without heirs, therefore the Lords of Ros, also became the Barons of Trusbut.

Everard married Rose Trussebut, daughter of William Trussebut Lord of Warter and Albreda Harcourt. (Rose Trussebut died about 1196.)
