-Count of Evreux and Seigneur of Montfort; heir to his brother, Amaury, who d.s.p. in 1140.
--In 1173 Simon joined the revolt of the "young king" [HENRY II's eldest son, Henry], but was captured when BALDWIN VIII COUNT OF FLANDERS took the castle of Aumale.
--In 1177 he attested the Treaty of Ivry and was with HENRY II at Verneuil.

Simon married Maud de Évereux. (Maud de Évereux died in 1168.)
