Konrad von Salm, son of Giselbert Graf von Salm, comté de Luxembourg, died in Palestine on 8 Aug 1086 while on a piligrimage which was required before his excommunication could be lifted. He succeeded his father in 1056-1059 as count of Luxembourge. Konrad married, as his first wife, Ermensende, possible daughter of Adalbert, Duke of Lower Lotharingia. His second wife was named Clemence. His daughter Ermensende was the daughter of his first wife.
