• Ancedotal: He appears to have especially oppressed the Church of Worcester, building so close to it that the mole of the castle encroached on the cemetery of the monks.

He appears in the domesday book. He was also called Urso of Worcester. He was from Abbettot, Seine -Maritime, France. He was the Sheriff of Worcestershire, the brother of Robert the Bursar, and helped crush revolt of Roger of Hereford in 1075. He took land from Worcester church and of Odo of Byeus after his disgrace. He had large land holdings in Worcester, Gloucester, Herefords, and Warwicks.
