Juan Simón de Santillán and his wife, Bárbara Manuela Garicoechea, were living in the Isleta district as early as 1744 when a son, Juan José, was born on April 10. This boy married Juliana González, May 1765. Another son, Juan Francisco Loreto, married María Catalina Aragón, 2 Jan 1755, and they had a son, Miguel, 10 Sep 1759. These children used the form "Santillanes."
