Sir Geoffry de Warburton, knt., son and heir of Sir Peter, cccurs together with his wife, Margaret, in an acquittance from Thomas de Celario, 1314, being the first time the name Warburton appears in deeds existing in the family archives. They had a son also a Sir Geoffry Warburton, knight, and a second son named Robert, noticed in a settlement by William le Botiler, baron of Warrington, 1327.
