Nuño Álvarez held the castle of Luna and the provinces of Mormojón, Moradillo, Cellorigo and Curiel. He may be the same person as "Duenno Nunno Alvaro de Castella" who confirmed the 1016 document demarcating the boundary between the territories of Castile and Navarre, acting on behalf of Sancho García Conde de Castilla, although this would imply a long career considering the supposed death date of his younger brother Rodrigo.
