bullet  Information about this person:

• Background Information. 602
Adam de Periton was apparently identical with Adam de Faxton, who in 1229, was in conflict with the Prior of St. Frideswide about customs and services in Moulton. Adam died in 1266 and was seised of the manor of Faxton, which he was holding of Sir John de Balliol for four knight's fees and 4 marks rent. His heirs were Robert, son of Sir William de Kaynes and of Adam's eldest daughter; Adam's daughter Isabel, wife of Sir Robert de Wells; and Adam's 3rd daughter Katherine, wife of John Paynel.

1. Isabel de Periton

2. Adam de Periton, of Ellington, co. Northumberland, Rampisham, co. Dorset, and Faxton, co. Northants. d. 1266
3. Sarah, probably mother of Isabel. I have seen the suggestion that she was perhaps a dau. or granddau. of Richard de Cardiff, Seneschal of Gloucester.

4. Thomas de Periton d. 1227
5. N.N. de Sandford, sister of Thomas de Sandford, tenant of the serjeanty of Chelsworth and hereditary forester of Braydon, co. Wiltshire.
8. N.N. de Periton
9. Sister of Engelin de Dumart

19. Emma de Dumart d. 1211
39. Sister of Walter Baliol who held Faxton, co. Northampton

This is from Archaeologia Aeliana Series 4 vol. 5 p 3-4. So far I have not found corroboration elsewhere. One source that I haven't seen is "Ancestry of Edward Carleton...." by Walter lee Sheppard, Jr. which apparently has the Sandford line too.
