From the Pedigree Chart in Cokayne's Complete Peerage, 2nd Edition, Vol. IX, p. 397:
Robert de Vaux, son and heir of Ranulph de Vaux and his wife Alice, was under age in 1199 [P.R.; Lan., pp 16, 96]. Robert de Vaux married Maud, who married William Everard upon Robert's death.
Maud married Robert de Vaux Lord of Gillesland, son of Ranulph de Vaux Lord of Gillesland and Alice.141 (Robert de Vaux Lord of Gillesland was born about 1175 in Gilsland, Irthington, Cumberland, England.)
