Konrad von Öhningen was the son of Konrad Graf im Rheingau und in der Ortenau and his wife. He succeeded in 983 as Konrad I duke of Swabia. He married Richlind, daughter of Emperor Otto I, King of Germany and his second wife Adelais of Burgundy.
