Sir Walter of Cornwall, Knight, of Brannel, Cornwall, Knight of the Shire for Cornwall, Coroner of Cornwall, was the illegitimate son of Richard, Earl of Cornwall, King of the Romans, Count of Poitou and a unknown mistress. Richard the Earl of Cornwall was the son of King John of England by his wife Isabel of Angoulême. The name of Sir Walter is unknown, but they had one son, William, and one daughter Margaret.
