Sir Thomas de Crue, knight, appears in a charter witnessed by William de Wistaneston, Roger le Bresci, and other. He is made son of Henry in Dugdale's pedigree of the family; but if the dates of 26-51 Hen. III are correct, he was most likely Henry's grandson.

~Ormerod's History of the County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol. III, p. 305

Thomas de Crewe, lord of Crewe, appears in records 26 and 51 Henry III. Ormerod says that he is apparently the grandson of Henry de Crewe. He married a woman named Alice who was living 50 Henry III. They had at least five children: Sir Thomas de Crue, lord Crue, kt. living 13 Edw. I, who married Agnes; David, William, Margery and Rose were mention in an Inq. taken in 43 Edw. III.

~George Ormerod's The History of County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol III, p. 313
