~George Ormerod's The History of County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol III, p. 313, Thomas de Crewe, lord of Crewe, appears in records 26 and 51 Henry III. Ormerod says that he is apparently the grandson of Henry de Crewe. He married a womand named Alice who was living 50 Henry III.713

• Background Information. 713 Sir Thomas de Crue, knight, appears in a charter witnessed by William de Wistaneston, Roger le Bresci, and other. He is made son of Henry in Dugdale's pedigree of the family; but if the dates of 26-51 are correct, he was most likely Henry's grandson.
