Sir William de Tracy was the father of Rohese who married Henry de Chamernon of Ilfracombe, Devonshire. Sir William was the son of William de Tracy, lord of Bradninch, Devon. Rohese was the heir to Clistwick, Devon (Clyst St. George or Clist Champernowne), a manor previously the martagium of Sir William de Tracy's wife. The lord of Bradnich held Clyst St. George of the Pomeroy family, so Sir. William Tracy's wife was likely the daughter of Henry de Pomeroy, lord of Berry Pomeroy, Devon, by Rohese. Rohese was the sister of Reginald Fitz Roy, Earl of Cornwall, bastard son of King Henry I. Earl Reginald had several half-siblings by his mother, Sibyl Corbet's marriage to Herbert Fitz Herbert. Since Sir William Tracy is the grandson of Herny I, it isn't likely for Rohese, his wife, to also be the granddaughter of Henry I.

Rose married 2ndly Robert de Sechevill (or Sacchville), died c1218, of Braunton, Cowley, Dunsford & Rewe, Devonshire. Rose was heiress to Clistwick, Devonshire (later Clist St. George or Clist Champernowne), this manor being previously the maritagium of Sir William de Tracy's wife. In 1237 Rose was holding as dower from her late husband the manor of Rewe (Book of Fees, p. 612).
