The Visitations of the County of Sussex Made and Taken in the Years 1530 , p.14, Oxenbridge Pedigree names Thomas Oxenbridge of Beckley the father of Robert Oxenbridge. This Robert Oxenbride is followed by his son and next his grandson, both whom are also named Robert Oxenbridge.

Robert Oxenbridge (living 1422), son of Thomas Oxenbridge and the Allard heiress? - as per the Oxenbridge pedigree -, was a judge, married to Margery. In 1402 he is mentioned with John Dallingrigge, Thomas Sackvill, John Brook and others as feoffees in the manor of Fletching called Tarring Peverell manor (SSX FF). - Robert Oxenbridge of Brede acquired an estate from Sir Alan Boxhull, who in 1405 sold to him the reversion of 38a of land and rents in Brede, Udimore and Ewhurst, which Alice late the wife of John Oxenbrigge of Brede holds in dower (SSX FF). But in that year he had to sue for that land and rent and was adjudged the reversion. Robert and Margery his wife against Nicholas Boyle (Boxhull?), descendant of Sir Alan Boxhull of 1325) and Joan his wife and others for a messuage, land and rent in Northiam, Beckley, Guestling and Westfield including the homage of Margaret Batesford. They win (SSX FF). - An Agnes Oxenbrigge had paid 2s 2 1/2d subsidies in Ore in 1332.


Robert married Margery.
