Sir Ralph Berners Knight of Roding and Bernston, the son of Sir William de Berners and his wife Beatrix, daughter of Sir Ralph Swyneburn, married Maud, daughter of Walter Baron of Fitzwalter. His son an heir was William de Berners, who died without issue. His second son was Sir Ralph de Berners of Berners Roding and Bernston.
