John de Greystoke, Lord Greystoke & Lord Fitz William, son and heir, aged 28 and more at his father's death. On 9 May 1418, the King took his homage and fealty and he had livery of his father's lands. He was summoned to Parliament from 24 August 1419 to 5 July 1435, by writs directed Johanni baroni de Greystok, with the addition of chivaler on and after 24 February 1424/5. On 22 March 1420/1 he was appointed Keeper of Roxborough Castle, for 4 years, at a salary of £1,000 a year in time of peace and £2,000 a year in time of war. He was appointed a commissioner to treat of peace with the Scots, and concerning violations of the truces, &c.

John de Greystoke married (contract, 28 October 1407) Elizabeth, elder daughter and coheir of Sir Robert de Ferrers, by Joan de Beaufort, daughter of John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, and granddaughter and coheir of Elizabeth, Lady of Wem and Ollesley, daughter and heir of Sir William le Botiller, 3rd Lord Botiller of the same. She, who was aged 18 and more in 1411, died in 1434, and was buried in the Church of the Black Friars at York. John de Greystoke died 8 August 1436.

John married Elizabeth Ferrers, daughter of Sir Robert Ferrers Knight and Joan de Beaufort, Shortly After 28 October 1407.141 (Elizabeth Ferrers was born about 1383 in Wem, Shropshire, England,141 died in 1434 in York, Ainsty, Yorkshire, England 141 and was buried in 1434 in Church of the Black Friars, Yorkshire, England.)
