• Background Information. 713 Thomas de Praers was the brother and hier of Randle according to the inquisition after the death of his sister-in-law, named Johanna, 6 Edward III.. The manors of Bertumlegh, Lanecan and Crue juxta Hasclynton, 18s., rent in Netherbebynton, the serjancty of the Fee of the countess of Warwick, and the advovsons of the churches of Bertumlegh and Wodechurche, passed over from brther Randle to Thomas de Praers in 11 Edward III. This Thomas died sometime before his Inquisition Post Mortem took place in 23 Edward III. His estates were granted to Thomas de Brelee and the wardship of his only child, Elizabeth, was granted to Alan Cheyne.
