bullet   Other names for Rita were María Rita Marta García, Rita García, Rita Romero, Marta Sedillo and Rita Marta Sedillo García.

bullet  General Notes:

From the Founding fathers of Rio Abajo data base, her name is given as María Rita Marta García.

In the N.M. Marriage, Churches of Immaculate Conception of Tóme and Our Lady of Belén pages 16, 27 marriage records and in the records, her name is given as Rita García. My father gave me her name as Rita García y Romero. According to Origins of NM Families, page 234, García was given to her by the man, Tomás García, who raised her father, Nicolás Montaño García.

I found her name as both Rita García and Rita Romero in the NM Marriages and Baptisms, San Augustin de la Isleta Church. As a parent, she used Rita García, but in her marriage record on page 15 she used Rita Romero.

I also found Rita in the Hispanic New Mexico Genealogy Data Base, which gives her father as Nicolás Montaño García.
