Philip was the son of Henry I and Anne of Kiev. He was crowned king at the age of seven, yet until he reached the age of fourteen, his mother acted a regent and Baldwin V of Flanders acted as co-regent. Philip married, as his first wife, Bertha, daughter of Floris I, Count of Holland. From this marriage, Louis VI, King of the Franks was born. Philip feel in love with Bertrade de Montfort, the wife of Count Fulk IV of Anjou. He married Betrade on 14 May 1092, which lead to the first of many excommunications from the Catholic Church.

, King of France from 1060 until 1108, comté de Paris, was the son of Henry I, King of France and his wife Anne of Kiev. Philip married Bertha of Holland, daughter of Florent I, count of Holland by his wife Gertrude, daughter of Bernard II, Duke in Saxony. Philip and Bertha were the parents of Louis VI "le gros," King of France; and Constance of France who married Bohémond I, Prince of Atioch, and son of Robert Guiscard.

Philippe married Bertha de Holand, daughter of Floris I Count of Holland and Gertrude of Saxony, in 1072 160.,528 (Bertha de Holand was born about 1055 in Vlaardingen 160 and died Early 1904 in Montreuil-sur-Mer 160.)


Philippe next married Bertrada de Montfort Countess of Anjou and, regina de France, daughter of Simon Montfort Seigneur de Montfort l'Amauri and Agnáes de d’Évreux, on 15 May 1092. (Bertrada de Montfort Countess of Anjou and, regina de France was born about 1060 in Montfort-l'Amaury, Yvelines, Ile-de-France and died on 14 Feb 1117 in Fontévrault, Anjou.)
