Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands, Hedwig, daughter of Heinrick and his wife Engeltrudis married Otto "der Erlauchte, son of Liudolf and his wife Oda Billung. "The Annalista Saxo records "Otto" as "filius Liudolfi ducis" [Annalista Saxo 907].. "Hathwiga" is named as wife of Otto in the Annalista Saxo, which in an earlier passage records that the mother of Heinrich was the son of the sister of Adalbert (Babenberg) [Annalista Saxo 902 and 907]. The necrology of Merseburg records the death "24 Dec" of "Hathuui mater Heinrici regis" [Althoff, G. (ed.) (1983) Die Totenbücher von Merseburg, Magdeburg und Lüneburg (Hannover), Merseburg].
