William Pellett's will mentions his wife Joan; sons Thomas, Richard, William, John & James; and daughters Joas, Lettice and Margaret. William, who held lands in eleven Sussex parishes, was to be buried in the Church of Holy Trinity in Steyning. His widow Joan, describing herself as a "true bedeswoman" and late the wife William Pellet, entered undated bills of complaint in Chancery against John Tanner of Washington, Sussex, and Joan his wife for witholding from her deeds relating to a mese and forty acres of land in Findon, Sussex, bequeathed to her by her husband.
