Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands Berta of Swabia was the daughter of Burkhard II Duke of Swabian and his wife Reginlind. Berta married twice, first to Rudolf II King of Upper Burgundy and second to Urgo King of Italy. "Liutprand names "Bertam Suevorum ducis Bruchardi filiam" as wife of "Rodulfus rex Burgundionibus" [Liudprandi Antapodosis II.60, p. 299]. The Annales Sangallenses record the marriage in 922 of "filiam Purchardi ducis" and "Ruodolfus rex" [Annales Sangallensis 922, MGH SS I, p. 78]. "Berta matre nostra" is named in the charter of "Chuonradus rex" dated 8 Apr 962 [Cluny II.1127, p. 217]."
