He was was witness to a charter, a private donation confirmed by King Ferdinand on 29 October 1047 in Cardeña, Córdoba Province, Andalucía, Spain.

Another possibility is that Teresa was the daughter of Nuño Alfonso de Amaya (illegitimate son of Alfonso V King of León & his mistress) & Gontroda de Castro. ~ Salazar y Acha p. 410.
According to Salazar y Acha, Teresa, mother of Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar "El Cid Campeador") was the daughter of don Rodrigo Alvárez[105], which is also the position taken by Reilly. ~Reilly (1988) Chapter 3, p. 38.
Diego married Teresa Rodríguez, daughter of Rodrigo Álvarez Conde en Asturias and Teresa Núñez, in 1058.217 (Teresa Rodríguez was born about 1023 217 and died before 1058 217.)
