Francisco de los Reyes Silva, 28, single citizen of the Belé juristiction was the legitimate son of the late José Silva and María Josefa Sánchez. Ana María Chaves, 18, single was the legitimate daughter of Juan José Chaves and the late María Josefa Baca.

Father Álverez questioned Francisco who stated that he and Anna María were related in two ways in fourth degree of consanguinity. Both were life-long residents of the Belén jurisdiction.

Witnesses: Santiago Trujillo, 64, parishioner of Belén, knew that José Chaves had given permission for his daughter to marry and that the couple was related to most of the people in the area.
