Diego Miranda is the grandson of Lope Gonzáz de Quirós and they were buried todgther along with other members of the Quirós family.

The children of don Lope, brother of don Gutierre "el de los tucos" became a powerful and prestigious house of the sturian nobiity. The house of Miranda, with it's origin from the illegitimate son of don Lope, Martí Vazquez de Quirós, married Ynes de Miranda and recived the lorship of Valecarazana.

Lope married Juana González.
