Toribio Benito Sánchez was a Spaniard from the Mountains of Burgos, age 33 in 1697 when he married María Magdalena Jurado, age 13-14, at El Paso on April 28. His parents were Toribio Benito Sánchez, native of El Lugar de San Miguel, Villa de la Vega, in Castilla la Vieja, and his wife María de Polanco (DM, 1697, no. 9).
