Diego Borruel de Luna

Three brothers, Juan Borruel de Luna, Bernardino de Luna & Diego Dorruel Luna, left Spain to find fortune and adventure in the northern frontiers of Nueva Galicia & Nueva Viscaya in New Spain. We know of them becasue Bernardino left their names in a will that was date 31 May 1577 [73]. He declared that he was the son of Antón Borruer and Pascuala de Luna and that he was born in the Kindom of Aragón. In a document dated 1582, Bernardino de Luna gave his home town as
the Villa de Castro in the realm of Aragón.

Diego married Ynes Montaño, daughter of Francisco Montaño and Leonora Pérez, on 3 Oct 1577 in Catedral Ciudád de México, Nueva España.¹⁵¹¹
