Cristobal Varela de Losada (18), native of New Mexico living here, son of Ayudante Diego Varela de Losada and Mariana Fresqui, natives of New Mexico living here, and Rosa Ysabel Márquez (15), daughter of Francisco Márquez, local soldier, and Estela Lujan, deceased, both natives of New Mexico. ~Witnesses: Francisco Apodaca (30), soldier of the Santa Fe Presidio; Bartolóme de Anzures (60) who knew groom for 12 years; Antonio de Cordova (35), local soldier; Juan de Herrera (35); Juan García de Noriega, who brought up an impediment, saying that the groom had relations with a female named Juana (Moran), related in 4th and 3rd degree to the prospective bride. Juana Moran herself gave up all claim, saying that, while the groom had given her his word, he had always mistreated her. Pair married, 10 Oct 1694, with witnsses Juan García de Noriega and his wife Doña Francisca Sánchez.
