Diego Trujillo was born in the Río Abajo about 1675/9. His wife was Catarina Griego, who was a native of New Mexico & the daughter of Nicolás Griego & Antonia Martín. From 1701-1703, their son Antonio was in Santa Fe trying to recover Catarina's land. In 1715, Antonio married María Márquez de Ayala.

Diego had died before October of 1707, and his wife Catarina married again to Melchor de Herrera. Catarina married for a second time to Melchor de Herrera. She died sometime before December 1716.
