Diego Trujillo was born in the Río Abajo about 1675/9. His wife was Catarina Griego, who was a native of New Mexico & the daughter of Nicolás Griego & Antonia Martín. From 1701-1703, their son Antonio was in Santa Fe trying to recover Catarina's land. In 1715, Antonio married María Márquez de Ayala.

Diego had died before October of 1707, and his wife Catarina married again to Melchor de Herrera. Catarina married for a second time to Melchor de Herrera. She died sometime before December 1716.

Diego Truxillo, 23 more of less, resident of te pueblo of Ysleta and native of New Mexico, son of Cristobal Truxillo and Maria de Sandobal, natives of this province of New Mexico, and residents of the pueblo of Ysleta, with Catharina Griego, 18, a resident of the same pueblo of Ysleta, daughter of Nicolas Griego and Antonia Martín, both deceased, natives of New Mexico. ~ Witnesses: Domingo Martín 38; Agustín de Salasar, 40, a resident of the Pueblo of Ysleta and a native of New Mexico; Mathiás Luján, 40, a resident of this pueblo and native of New Mexico; Capitán Diego de Luera, 50, a resident of this pueblo of Ysleta. There being no impediment I married & veiled them on 2 Feb 1692, and entered them into the book of marriages. By Fray Joachín de Ynojosa. Witnesses: Cristobál Truxillo and María Archuleta.
