He has in his houshold and orphan girl, named María, age twenty; another orphan girl, Juana Andrea, seven; one twenty-year-old servervant; his mother, name Elena Ruiz; an orphan, named Angela de Tapia who is a widow with two male children, Bernardino, twenty, and Antonio, twenty-seven; his son José, eighteen; an orphan boy, named Domingo; and another Indian girl, twelve. As his majesty's loyal vassal, he is ready and equipped to do the service of God and King, entering first with me, the governor and captain general, to build his house and after, entering with his family, being given the aid he needs to do so.

Cristóbal de Tapia owned lands two leagues below Isleta Pueblo prior to the Rebellion, and he was described in 1681 as having a good thickset stature, an aquiline face, and black hair and beard. He is the only Tapia among the male refugees. As a Sargento Mayor he was very active in the First Vargas Entry in 1692. In that year he was the Mayordomo of the Conquistadora Confraternity.
